Tam Chuc Pagoda Tourist Area
Nestled within majestic limestone mountains, the Tam Chuc National Tourist Area in Kim Bang District, Ha Nam, emerges as a stunning, serene, and poetic landscape, imbued with spiritual significance
Tam Chuc Pagoda features a unique architecture that blends classical Vietnamese and modern styles. The complex spans approximately 5,000 hectares, encompassing natural mountains, lakes, and valleys. In front of the pagoda lies Luc Ngan Lake, while the majestic That Tinh Mountain rises behind it.
Tam Chuc Pagoda is dedicated to revered figures such as the founder Bodhidharma, Zen Master Nguyen Minh Khong, Zen Master Khuong Viet, Venerable Thich Thanh Tu, and Zen Master Do Phap Thuan.
Notably, Tam Chuc is the largest pagoda in the world, located in Vietnam. The Vietnam Buddhist Association chose it as the host venue for the United Nations Vesak Buddhist Festival in 2019.
Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda
Located in Liem Son Commune, Thanh Liem District, Ha Nam Province, Dia Tang Phi Lai Pagoda (Phai Lai Tu or Dung Pagoda) is an ancient temple rich in historical, cultural, and spiritual significance. The pagoda features traditional architecture combined with majestic Buddha statues, creating a solemn atmosphere ideal for spiritual reflection and finding peace after the struggles of daily life.
Ngu Dong Thi Son
Ngu Dong Thi Son is a fascinating system of natural caves nestled within Mount Cam, a must-visit destination for travelers exploring Ha Nam.
This area is renowned for its majestic natural beauty and unique cave system with diverse shapes.
Ngu Dong Thi Son consists of five interconnected caves and large cavernous formations that create a continuous cave system extending over 100 meters. Each cave possesses its distinct beauty, featuring diverse and colorful stalactites and stalagmites.
Lanh Giang Temple
Lanh Giang Temple, also known as Lanh Giang Linh Tu, is located by the banks of the Red River in Moc Nam Commune and has long been famous for its sacredness. Built in the 11th century, this temple honors the three renowned deities of the Pham family from the 18th Hung King era, who contributed to defending the kingdom against foreign invaders. Additionally, the temple is dedicated to Princess Tien Dung and Chu Dong Tu.
Ba Kien’s House
Ba Kien’s House, located in Dai Hoang village (now Nhan Hau village), Hoa Hau Commune, Ly Nhan District, Ha Nam Province, is a famous landmark associated with the literary work “Chi Pheo” by author Nam Cao.
Known as “the Vu Dai village of that time,” this site is deeply tied to unique historical and cultural values. Ba Kien’s House features traditional Northern Vietnamese architecture with three main rooms and is situated on a spacious plot of about 900m².
Constructed in the early 20th century, the house has endured many historical ups and downs while still preserving its ancient architectural features, showcasing the passage of time.
