Perzo Claude started his epic ride at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, from the National Convention Center in Hanoi. He bravely conquered the scenic yet challenging route through Moc Chau, Son La, Dien Bien Phu, Lai Chau, O Quy Ho, and ultimately, Sapa. Riding continuously through the night, he faced the elements head-on, overcoming both rain and shine.
His journey included navigating the steep Pha Din Pass and the treacherous O Quy Ho Pass, two of the four largest passes in Vietnam. Additionally, Perzo tackled hundreds of winding and perilous mountain roads without taking a moment to sleep or rest.

Throughout this arduous adventure, Perzo Claude ascended a total elevation of 10,231 meters, achieving an average speed of 21 km/h and a maximum downhill speed of 67 km/h.
To support him during this challenging ride, a local cycling club provided essential logistical assistance, including material supplies and technical help. Two dedicated members of the club even rode alongside Perzo for 350 km, cheering him on as he conquered each kilometer.

Known for his remarkable achievements, Perzo is the reigning champion in the road category for his age group and frequently participates in major amateur cycling competitions across the country, including road cycling and mountain biking (MTB) events.
He holds the title of reigning champion in the Road category for those aged 56+ at the annual “Thuong Temple Cycling Cup” held in Lao Cai City, Lao Cai province.
