Exploring Mai Chau on a bicycle provides a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of this region while experiencing the timeless lifestyle that has endured for centuries. Cycling allows us to interact with the Muong and White Thai communities, and our overnight stay in traditional houses offers a firsthand glimpse into their daily lives. Only by bicycle can you see the Da River Reservoir in Hoa Binh Province. You will also have a rewarding experience, offering breathtaking views of the reservoir, lush landscapes, and local villages.

With modern lightweight Trek Marlin 6 or 7  bikes, exploring this area is enjoyable and accessible, and a support vehicle is available for added convenience if needed.

Day 1:Hanoi – Da River- Mai Chau (L, D)

At 7:30 AM, Get picked up by our guide and driver, then depart from Hanoi towards Hoa Binh Province, relishing in the breathtaking scenery along the journey. The day's first challenge is a large reservoir formed by the Da River in Hoa Binh Province, about 70 kilometers northwest of Hanoi. It's surrounded by rolling hills, dense forests, and agricultural fields, creating a picturesque backdrop for cycling. Along your cycling journey, you can visit attractions such as Go Lao waterfall, which cascades into the reservoir and offers a refreshing stop for photos and relaxation. Other points of interest include local villages, viewpoints overlooking the reservoir, and small cafes or restaurants where you can rest and enjoy local cuisine for Lunch. Arrive in Mai Chau in the late afternoon, relax and Dinner. Overnight in local village homestay.

Day 2: Mai Chau- Mai Hich- Hanoi (B/L)

After breakfast, The cycling route from Mai Chau to Mai Hich typically follows scenic rural roads and paths through valleys and hills. It’s a journey that allows you to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of northern Vietnam and experience local culture along the way. Along the route, you can stop at viewpoints overlooking rice terraces, visit local villages to interact with residents learn about their daily lives, and admire the peaceful landscapes of mountains and forests. The distance between Mai Chau and Mai Hich is around 25 kilometers, which can take a few hours to cycle depending on your pace and stops. The terrain varies from flat stretches along valley floors to hilly sections as you approach Mai Hich. Lunch there before we take the van back to Hanoi. Arrive at the hotel by late afternoon, the trip ends
